The purpose of this web
site is to offer assistance to all those who suffer from knee problems, and
to explain in simple terms how to make a diagnosis, what can be done to help,
and how to answer some of the questions patients commonly ask.

I am a General Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in trauma
and a special interest in the orthopaedic aspects of the knee.
Having qualified from
St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in 1971, full registration with
the GMC
was gained in 1972 (No.
01496112). The FRCS diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh was awarded in 1975 and from the Royal
College of Surgeons of England in 1976. My specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery was at the Royal
National Orthopaedic Hospital from 1981-88;
CCST denoting completion of Higher Surgical Training was awarded in 1986.
After 15 years as
Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the West
Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust I have recently left the NHS to
become fully private with consulting rooms at The Cromwell Hospital, London and the New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. Contacts, however, with the
NHS will continue in the form of honorary consultant posts at WMUHT and also
lecturer to the Imperial College Medical
School.
